Ron Paul The Twitter Villain

I’ve never been a real big fan of Ron Paul and the Ron Paul Movement of social libertarianism. What turned me off to the man was the craziness that was beyond the outer layers of his personality. He believed in this and that but he also believed in being a truther, and in releasing the American traitor Bradley Manning, and all sorts of things the Libertarian crowd starkly ignored and quite frankly got angry if you even dared use it in a debate. The fans messiah complex over him was my real problem however that is another article all together. What this article is about is the tragic death of American hero Chris Kyle who was known as a US Navy Seal and the most highly decorated sniper in US history and the despicable words of Ron Paul over the social network Twitter.

Sounds like Paul fell off the deep end with this one as even his supporters and fans are upset with him now. Ron Paul tweeted the following message over his very energetic twitter account: “Chris Kyle’s death seems to confirm that he who lives by the sword dies by the sword. Treating PTSD at a firing range doesn’t make sense.”

What an appalling thing to say about an America hero. Does Ron Paul have no respect? Does Ron Paul have no pride in his nation and those who fight for it?? Not only is his tweet condescending it also appears to have a political sharpened edge at the end of it which implies that Ron Paul was trying to connect it to the gun debate raging in America currently.

I am well aware that Ron Paul is a politician but even he should know better. He after all is a retired Air Force surgeon. He’s been in the military and he knows the military…yet he apparently does not respect the military. I find that to be a very unbecoming feature of a politician.  If you cannot support your country and those who defend it then you do not deserve to represent this country and furthermore you do not represent this country.

What is even more disturbing to me is that it’s been a few days on this one. I’ve held my criticism and waited wondering if the old man didn’t just make a wording mistake and would release an apology. No such thing has happened. In fact the Paul camp has remained coldly quiet on the entire event without even commenting on it. If this isn’t a clear indication that Ron Paul’s political career is over then I do not know what is.

I sincerely hope his son, Rand Paul, who is doing so well in our nation now, did not inherit his Father’s political thought and mind. I hope he remains true to America and supports America in whatever way he can. Shame on Ron Paul and might I say it’s a questionable mark on the reputation of the Libertarian Party who has reorganized themselves around Paul.
